Astriapi Movement
You have a land speed of 30 feet and an extraordinary fly speed of 30 feet with average maneuverability.
Astriapi Senses
You gain blindsense (scent) with a range of 30 feet and darkvision with a range of 60 feet.
Honey Production
Once per day, you can spend 10 minutes to produce one vial of magical honey.
- At levels/CR below 5: this functions as a mk 1 serum of healing.

Lore
Overview
Astriapis are arthropodan inheritors of Colveare, a planet-spanning megalopolis sustained by intertwined technomancy, ecological engineering, and strict social organization. After the Gap, they emerged into a civilization whose systems they rely on but do not yet fully understand.
Core Tension
Their culture values order, assigned duty, and long-term planetary stewardship. At the same time, offworld travel and exposure to other societies push many astriapis to question inherited hierarchies and redefine personal purpose.
Adventuring Motivation
Astriapi adventurers often become engineers, mystics, scouts, researchers, and troubleshooters. Their narrative theme is balancing collective responsibility with individual freedom while trying to prevent system-level collapse on a world of immense complexity.
Physical Description
Astriapis are bipedal arthropods with chitinous exoskeletons, broad insectile wings, and dexterous mandibles. Many display carved or patterned exoskeleton art that signals identity, social role, or aspiration.
They naturally produce honey-like bio-magical secretions used in ritual and social contexts. A typical astriapi stands close to 6 feet tall and weighs roughly 120-150 pounds, with a lightweight body plan optimized for mobility and flight.
Society
Social Structure
Astriapi civilization is a hierarchical theological bureaucracy led by the Hierarchs. Education, labor assignment, and civic identity are strongly integrated into planetary maintenance and survival.
Work and Identity
Most astriapis enter predefined service tracks after maturation, while a minority joins the Unworking: communities of artists, independents, and social outliers who operate outside standard duty channels.
Political Friction
As old systems degrade and lost knowledge remains incomplete, conflict grows between institutional control and reformist currents. This pressure defines modern astriapi society both on Colveare and abroad.
